Native to Japan, E. Siberia & Taiwan
Evergreen shrub growing to 1.5m
Dark green glossy leaves
Cream flowers in early spring followed by red berries.
“Rubella has red buds
Both male and female plants are needed to produce berries
Frost hardy to -15 degrees
Prefers moist, cool acid soil in shade
Propagate from seed in Autumn or cuttings in late Summer
