Osmanthus fragrans (Sweet Olive)

• Native to China and Japan
• Evergreen slow growing shrub to 3m
• Prefers a fertile moist soil in full sun
• Leaves are 10 – 12cm long, shiny and dark green
• Frost hardy
• Tubular flowers are pure white and fragrant
• Propagate from half hardened cuttings in summer or winter
• Chinese use flowers for scented tea & decoration in winter
