Agapanthus Praecox (African lily)

• Native to southern Africa
• Strong growing perennials
• Grows to 1m tall
• Leaves are arching, strap-shaped and shiny green
• Stalks of large heads of blue ,white or mauve flowers in summer
• Prefers sun or some shade
• Ideal for edging or background plants
• Propagate from division in late winter or seed in spring
• Remove spent flowers and dead leaves at end of winter
