Native of the forests of France to Siberia
Its rhizomes spreading underground
Dark green leaves pop up from the rhizomes in late spring,20-30cm tall
Slender white flowering stems appear in summer
Flowers are highly perfumed
Flowers are followed by red berries which are poisonous
Prefers fertile, humus rich, moist soil in shade
Fully hardy
Propagate from division in Autumn or seed
